Q: I know I have to change. How to start?

Today’s question is one I get all the time:
“How do I start?”

Answer:
Many of you have asked it before, and you're still asking.

If you’re still asking “How do I start?” try this question instead:

"What's stopping me from starting?"

Write down every way you’re stopping yourself from changing:

IMPORTANT: This isn't just an intellectual exercise.

  • Let it marinate.
  • Look at the list until you feel it in your body.
  • Notice how it shows up in your choices.

Change begins when you see, clearly, how you're keeping yourself from it.

And then, you choose something different.
